Does mpg improve after break-in?

Yes. After about 1,500 miles the drive line is loosened up.

Any noticeable difference between running 87 octane and running 91/93 octane?

Yes. studies show 7-10%

i will add, since it is now spring and the ethanol has been removed from the "winter gas blends" my MPG has had a nice bump as well.

Well, here goes my thinking on gas mileage, we didn’t buy this baby for gas mileage. Heavy, 4wd, and specifically built for off road activities. High horsepower and we’re all looking to get even more power and capability. All these requirements scream “LESS GAS MILEAGE” my friends. So, if your concerned about your mileage maybe you should have purchased a Prius and enjoyed the economy. Raptor guys love increasing their carbon footprint. Gas it, throttle it, mod it, gas it, hammer it, enjoy the ride, enjoy the truck for what it was built for. Gas mileage threads are a waste of time on the forum and tiresome to see IMO.

Do you folks tend to buy fuel from the same "vendor"... or do you find that it doesn't matter? I only run 93, and keep getting it from the same place, but wondering if it matters as long as it's 93.

The folks in this thread stopped talking about it 18 months ago.

Real world 15, but I've started only filling half a tank and its gone up to about 16. I have a goosetune on the way so we'll see what that does.

Also, that picture which shows 23.1 over the last 110.X miles is a little misleading. It says 57 miles to E and its pretty darn close to a 1/4 tank lol. Which means it probably was at around 300 miles at full or an estimated 8.33 MPG lol

110 miles since he reset it. It doesn't auto reset when you fill up.
