Hello RaptorForum,

I'd like to gather some thoughts on the work done for a heat wrap job that an auto shop just completed on a set of stainless works headers. It seems as though SW headers, for the Raptor in particular, are nearly impossible to have each tube individually wrapped because they are bundled so tightly together.

However, I haven't seen any other heat wrapped headers so idk... What are y'all's thoughts on the work done in the pic?

Who is doing the Zircotec in the states? Don't see any options just to order a quart or two to spray yourself.

You have to ship the parts to Zircotec. Their technology is in-house only.

Looks like they came out great !, I wrapped my set and it was very difficult to wrap them individually. They sagged after the summer, so I had to wrap them like your picture shows. You will love the sound and performance of the Stainless Works system, improved mileage too.

Looks as though the wrap will interfere with close engine compartment items the tubes are wrapping around.

I do not see the need for pipe wrap. Can't keep it clean of oil and dirt, and shortens the life of the header tubes. If heat dissipation reduction is the intended goal, then have them internally and externally ceramic coated.

I've had several motorcycle headers internally coated to reduce the bluing of the chrome, and aircraft headers internally and externally coated to reduce cowl temperatures.

This guy gets it.

Don’t get them wet.
