I've never been a fan-o-flaps, but this Raptor really does like to throw shit on the door handles, where I wheel that is a literal term if the cattle are nearby too.

My thought was to replace factory door handles with recessed 'flush mounts" but there's nothing already on the market and with keyless entry the engineering is too much for me to try to tackle with a DIY approach.

I'm seriously considering adding some flaps now, maybe just the front? Not sure.

For me at my age it's all about function first but still done with the best taste or look at least in my mind. Even with the flaps I'm still getting rock chips especially on the front section of the rear bed where it sticks out past the cab. I think they are a great flap and very well supported not worth 500 bucks imo but if you want them you have to pay or find a great deal like I did for 300 !

I purchased a set of both the Weathertech flaps and the Husky flaps. Installed both side by side. The Weathertechs have better coverage than the Husky's and IMO look better b/c the plastic texture and color is a closer match to the wheel arches than the Husky's. So I kept the Weathertechs and returned the Huskys.

I have not installed the Weathertech Mid-flaps yet, even though they came w/ the set. Not sure how I feel about them. Functionally they make sense (I had mid-flaps on my Saab turbos' back in the day). It seems like they will protect the running board but without being further back and closer to the centerline of the car they won't really protect the rear suspension (as advertised) very well.

I’ve got the Gatorbacks front and rear. The rear flaps have been torn off twice when backing over ledges. The flaps get pinched between the ledge and the tires. Either cuts the bottom of the flap off or rips the flap off the truck.

The front flaps work well. Both front and rear keep the crud off, the rears are too long for the off-road. My opinion.

I too have the gatorbacks... But I've not had the problem you describe, but in all fairness I haven't driven off too many Ledges LOL

I do like them and I agree they keep the crud off the truck pretty darn good. Sorry about your issue and thanks for the warning!

I have grown to love Weathertech products. I did both of my Explorers and the Raptor. I especially like the "third pair" that mount mid-ship on the step boards. I take those off for the summer. Super easy to install and I prefer not to have any more logos (Ford, Raptor, naked girls etc.) Everyone knows it's a Ford, everyone knows it's a Raptor and naked girls are nothing but trouble :).

I put a set of RokBlokz on my 2018 Raptor, and I love them! I did have to drill them, but it was easy and they fit great! They have done wonders protecting my truck!
