Hey All,

My girlfriend has a 2018 with 13,000 miles. I have the same truck as well. She had her oil changed at the dealer 2 weeks ago, and started noticing some harsh shifting, I thought it might be because it needed the TSB. Her rap was built early January 2018.

Today she went to drive home from work and got a check engine light then a no oil pressure warning on the dash in red, the truck was leaking oil all over the ground. She had to have the truck towed to the dealer. I know she has the plastic oil pan but was surprised to hear of such a sudden failure or loss of oil like this.

Anyone else experienced this? Any insight would be appreciated

Thanks

Even a warped plastic pan wouldn't cause a sudden drop of pressure like that. Something else is going on. Sorry, don't know what it would be though.

I had a lube monkey not tighten the oil filter on my truck once, I caught it before it backed off too far but it still made a decent mess, could be as simple as that

Was the oil change at the dealership? If yes, she should ask for 100K warranty just in case the engine was running without oil.

And this is why I change my own oil. When it is not your vehicle, you just don't care.

Thanks for the responses, I was thinking the same, I’ll let her know.

This is why my Raptor will never ever see a dealer, except for a warranty fix.

Same thing happened in Texas with my wifes Jeep, and the dealer was using very unskilled labor in the oil change bay. Lets just guess, they crossed the southern border that morning.
