I found a PX3 to PX5 upgrade board on Aliexpress. Plug and play and it would get us to 4 gigs of ram and a 64 bit octocore processor.

The downside is that it comes installed
With an android 8 rom. And someone would have to know how to take our image and place it on the new ROM.

We have the image....

The latest updates for the F-150 are the Feb 26th canbus and firmware upgrades. Maybe y'all are having issues because you are installing incompatible updates, ie whatever this march update you are passing around?

Hey Herk. I got a FB message this evening from Phoenix that gave the link to the 26 Feb 19 px3 image/update. I had asked for the latest and told them some people had said something about a 13 March 19 update. They did not say anything about the March 13 version and only provided the one from February which is the one I have been running since I got mine.

Just google

PX3 to px5 upgrade board. Choose the Ali express link.

It’ll plug in and it’ll work. It also works with our Can MCU box.

What doesn’t jive is the software. We need to get our software onto that Rom. The console app, the launcher with hvac and radio controls... Etc.

It can be done.... I just don’t know if I have the technical knowledge to do it.

Is anyone on here an android guru or has an account on xda and can find someone who is?
119 bucks. It would be a huge upgrade.

They sent me the link for a March update early this month and they just sent me a link for it again today in response to my issue with greatly reduced gain on streaming sources.

djc, was your stock unit a 4 inch or the 8 inch display?

The FB message I got this afternoon form Phoenix said "i believe the 3.13.19 update file is for 4'' screen".

So that may be the difference in what each person gets that depends on what system and setup they had stock. I am of course not 100 percent sure but is an assumption.
