I was sent the link to the file that resets the configuration for my vehicle, in addition to the simplecan update to address the no sound with streaming sources issue. After installing it a couple of times it worked and I haven't experienced the no sound issue since. However, since updating, the volume for Spotify, Tidal, etc. (All streaming sources) has been greatly reduced. I have to turn the volume all the way to 30 to get any decent output. And if I forget and switch to console mode it blows me out of the truck. I have tried adjusting the gain levels in the settings menu but they have no effect. I was having an issue of distorted sound from streaming sources that I reported to them and they aknowledged it as a known issue that they were working on. I'm wondering if the updates I applied reduced the gain to reduce the distortion issue? Has anyone else experienced this?

You may need to change the fader to the opposite of whatever it is set to in the settings of the device not Sync3. That happened to me too. Turn volume down before changing it.

Thanks for checking. I left them a voicemail on Friday about it as well. Also, see if you notice a high noise floor (hiss) when playing songs. When I advance to a new song in Tidal, there is no sound but as soon as the music starts, I hear a slight bit annoying hiss. I hope this may go away if they correct the gain levels.
Since you are a Tidal user, have you noticed the very bottom of the Tidal interface is covered by the lower Phoenilx control panel (AC and volume control panel)? More annoying, do you have the issue of when you hit the play button, it brings up the Tidal streaming options screen? I assume this is a Tidal issue.

This is exactly what happened to me after simplecan update. I have a new unit coming to me but now I'm afraid to update simplecan.

Would anybody be willing to make a video doing the simplecan update on our units? I know there is a video from phoenix out there but the menus are just a bit different and Id like to see how people are getting their USB to be recognized. Do you exit back to the unit or save and reboot when finished?

I had to put usb in and hit reset and when it came back up it recognized the px3 auto update and did that then reset unit again and did simple can update. Then reset it again and black screen...

I just got mine installed over the weekend...everything seems to be working alright
  1. I'm scared to do the updates because of these last few posts
  2. What's everyone doing for hotspot? I don't have an unlimited data plan and was thinking of getting a mobile wifi hotspot vs OBD hotspot so I could use it away from the truck as well
