Did some exploring today in the RZR. Started out on Monitor and Merrimack trail, then on B&T trail, then on part of 7 mile rim trail, back on M&M and B&T and then out on the 7 mile rim entrance. 50 miles of fun. The last picture is on the M&M trail and it has a lot of whoops. We took it really fast and made the new suspension work like crazy. Had a blast.Trail 1.jpg Trail 2.jpg Trail 3.jpg Trail 4.jpg

Fantastic thread and pics. Are any of those trails suitable for a stock Raptor? How does one find out which trails to use with a Raptor and not get in over their head? I’m heading out there from ny in August, about a week or so b4 attending Raptor assault and want to do some of Moab. Ty

Get the Well's Moab 4 wheel drive book. He describes the trails in detail and tells what vehicles can do what. (No, he does not mention a Raptor) The biggest problem is the rear overhang and with a stock front bumper getting close to a rock to climb. I have changed my front bumper and the rear is on order, but here I use my RZR and Jeep for most trails. I will be doing a couple of trails in the Raptor and I will post pictures. Took a couple of days off to do chores and today it is raining, but we will be back on the trail soon and will be posting more pictures.

Could you post which trails you did in your Raptor? And obviously after you do some in it. I would love to take my RZR and Can Am Maverick out there, but I would prefer my Raptor

My wife thinks I only have 3 guns

I haven't done any in Moab yet. I did some around Vegas and Death Valley. I am waiting until I get the new rear bumper before I do them here. There are now more UTVs/RZRs in Moab than Jeeps. I could do Book Cliffs, LaSalle Loop, Gemini Bridges, and of course Chicken Corners. I also plan on doing the White Rim Trail, just not sure yet if I will do it in one day or two. I am sure there are more, it is just when I am in Moab I use the RZR and Jeep more, and when I travel I use the Raptor.

Scroll down to the Moab stuff.
I used just the book in Moab and it worked awesome but now they have a gps chip too.
I stuck to “green” trails and had no issue and should have tried some “yellow” trails.
I have 37’s with Deaver plus 2’s and Geiser coil springs up front. She’s a Shortbus too not Scab.
The guide made the trails sound harder than they were.
I’d rent a utv or a Jeep for the harder stuff.

FYI.

Took the RZR and did some exploring northeast of Moab. Did parts of Bartlett Wash and 3D and then got on a "Designated Route" that I do not know the name of. In all the years we have been coming to Moab, we have never been on this. Ended up the the road that goes to Hey Joe Canyon, and put on about 50 miles on the RZR. Fun trail with a lot of sand and whoops, and we did several dead end trails that got up and close to the cliffs. Threatening rain, so we cut it short. May go back tomorrowTrail 1.jpg Trail 2.jpg Trail 3.jpg Trail 4.jpg Trail 5.jpg and do some more exploring out by Secret Spire.
