Thanks for confirming NASSTY - Smurf seemed to think that this had never been a problem on the ecoboost. The active shutters in front of the intercooler help on the 15+ ecoboost, but that still does not solve the problem fully.

Show the post where I said there has never been a problem with any ecoboost engine. You’re lying about this, you’re lying about this issue affecting 2017 - 2018 Raptors, after you admitted that it didn’t affect 2017 - 2018 Raptors.

Answer the questions put to you by me and others in this thread before any further comment on your stupid weep hole recommendation.


So, why do you continue to troll the Gen 2 subforums with what seems to be a pretty blatant attempt to convince someone to lose the warranty on their new trucks? BTW - you have yet to address this point.

1: Gen 2 owners do not care about your opinion on drilling the charge air cooler on ecoboost engines. Read it again. Now, read it again. Repeat as needed until you actually understand.

2) The 2017-2018 trucks are not suffering from this affliction, whether you want to admit it or not. No amount of trolling is going to work.

3) Your preferred narrative will not prevail. Read this again.

5) You have gone back on your statements no less than half a dozen times in this thread. here are some examples
Raptor 3.5TT is more powerful than the previous 6.2L V8. This fact stands on its own.

Raptor 3.5TT is more powerful than standard F150 3.5TT. This fact stands on its own merit as well.

6.2L Raptor makes a great audio soundtrack. Not as good as the GT350, but pretty good. This fact stands on its own merit ( sure some will take offense at a Mustang sounding better but, if you heard them at Raptor Assault, you would agree ).

The F150 Raptor is the preeminent COTS, production off road vehicle. Ford sells every one of them and then some. The demand for the Raptor is as never before, as with every previous year of Raptor. Again, this stands on its own


In stark contrast to the aforementioned facts that stand on their own merit, your assertion that owners of Gen 2 Raptors should drill a hole in the charge air cooler to “fix” a “problem” that doesn’t exist in the truck, is argumentum ad absurdum.

7) We just do not care about your opinion on drilling the charge air cooler on ecoboost engines.

How many horsepowers does this release by not venting into the air box?

Should I have a warning sticker so no one get burned by the hot gasses?

I agree with the OP. Cap both ends. That's the way the guys with he Gen 1 3.5L EBs do it. Less chance of a boost leak.



I don't think there's been a MAF on any Ecoboost 3.5L engines. Should just be the MAP sensor. You can leak air anywhere you want (in under vac or out under boost) and it should run fine as long as the leaks occur upstream of the MAP sensor.

Back to the Squatch bashing:
Jesus Christ on a cracker, can't the Gen 2 owners we just accept that the first Gen 3.5L EB F150 can/does benefit from a weep hole? It works. Other makes and models of cars have weepholes in the intercooler from the factory for the same reason. It's not a performance hit from a boost leak.

Squatch just can you accept the fact that the Gen 2 Raptor has a redesigned intercooler and induction system that has corrected the condensation issue in all but maybe the occasional worst case humidity scenarios?

That may be why my brother said he noticed a lot of water coming out of my tailpipes when I got on the throttle.

I recently purchased a 2019 Raptor and am new to this forum as a Raptor owner and am glad to read that this is probably not an issue for me and others with the gen2.

I still am going to purchase a dual can setup from RXP.

0 HP, just sounds.

No fear of getting burned by hot gasses, as it is compressed intake air, not exhaust gasses.

The water wouldnt pass through the combustion process and come out as water from the tailpipe.

Water coming out of the exhaust is from condensation when you shut the truck off and the pipes cool. When you start again, the water that settles in the exhaust gets blown out. Every vehicle does this to some extent.

When I did my vta I used the connection at the intake (where the ebov tube went) to connect my catch can, I didn't want to drill extra holes.
