I'm 230 miles into owning this Raptor and thought I was hearing a clunk in the rear end over bumps, almost like a loose spare tire. When I checked I found the passenger rear shock leaking from the electronic module. Of course there isn't a dealer that has one in stock and Ford is unable to tell the when one will be available. Customer care call was a joke but at least my dealer is working hard to get some answers. I really like the truck so I hope they resolve this properly.

Make sure you check this area closely on PDI.

Ah crap. I drove my truck for the first time in a 10 days yesterday and it was clunking really badly in the rear. I got out twice just to see if I forgot something rolling around in the bed or if my towing hitch was loose but nope. Now I have to see if my shock is leaking. Bummer, hope they get it squared away quickly for you man.

Installed my Icon leafs today and took a good look around at my rear shocks, no leaks there thankfully. I think it actually was a loose spare tire in my case since I don’t hear it anymore with the new leafs. Had to lower and raise the spare for the install and the noise went away.

What I did find though was a loose fitting on the rear brake line and a ton of brake fluid all over the place. Truck is new so looks like it was loose from the factory. Come on Ford, get it together man! :)

Keep us updated on your shock situation I’m curious to see how long they take to get you a new one.

yeah, I had a brake line come loose and got cut by the tire at full lock over a period of a few days and -**** - no brakes. not fun.

Dang I'll keep an eye on the front brake lines too. Luckily mine didn't get that bad but I definitely need to top off my brake fluid.

Fox got a new shock delivered to my dealer over the weekend and it got installed today. The truck drives so much better now, I didn't realize how much that bad shock affected the ride quality. It took about 2 weeks to get the shock and my dealer was great through the entire process. Much better than Ford Customer Care.
