Hello everyone. First time purchaser here and since I know that deals on the Gen 2's can vary wildly by location I am looking for some advice. Have a line on a 70K MSRP gen2 that the dealership is offering at slightly under invoice (65K) or I could go with another dealer who I am pretty sure I can get them to invoice on ordering one (or at least VERY close).

My delima is that the on the lot Raptor has a couple of things that I am not thrilled about (tech package and the moonroof) and is missing some things that I really wanted (CF package and Beadlock capable wheels).

Based on the knowledge here is that 65K price to good to pass up? (I know pretty subjective) Or should I go the order route based on what people have seen in the SE Texas market.

Thanks - D

I would find a dealer who will order at the deal you see on the lot or better. Do some leg work and I’m sure you will get it. A dealer will accept invoice pricing if you tell him your ready to order today and you will find a dealer who will sell you one. I would not settle, you will always wish you did got what you wanted. I’m on my final 45 days till delivery and the wait is worth it knowing the truck will be exactly as I like and nobody has beat it.

$9k is a pretty big chunk of change. You could always add the wheels later and you would only be missing CF. You may not want or need the moonroof or tech pkg, but they add value at trade in time.

If you’re going to seriously use the truck off road - and I mean seriously, not the casual off roading most of us do, then the moonroof is a liability, but, not for 99% of the buyers out there.

@Raptorguy1 nailed it.

Tech package was something I was on the fence about, but I do like it. Only you can decide though.

Good luck

I agree with the others regarding the tech package and smurf's view on the sun roof. I say don't worry about the wheels. Although my situation didn't go down this way, I would have gotten the "less" expensive wheels knowing that you can easily find the black OEM rims from someone who just got their truck and is now taking them off for an aftermarket set, or throw on some sexy wheels yourself. Either way I would set black OEM's as the lowest priority.
On a side note, if you end up needing some black OEM take off's shoot me a PM, I just happen to know a guy with a set!

I'm in the market. What dealer in Houston is selling 2019's at invoice?

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Went the way of ordering one just the way that I wanted. Could only get 2.5K off MSRP instead of getting 5K off on the lot available ones but feel it was worth it. Now the waiting game begins.
