If you mean master rest thru the SYN settings screen, it did not fix the issue. Or did you mean another reset of the SYNC system? thx

Yes.

There are a couple of situations when it’ll play the navigation directions from
The built in nav. Like when sync is running.

Guy -

Do you need to mount the provided speaker or will Google Maps and Waze communicate through the built in system?

It’s a geo location issue.

Make sure your satellite antennae is plugged in right. It’s a snug connection.

It has to recalibrate. Drive around for a bit. Then from a parked location master reset it again. It took me a couple tries and it’s been spot on since.

I disconnected and reconnected the factory GPS antenna I drove about 40 miles last night. I disconnected and re-seated the factory GPS antenna again this morning before performing the master reset. so you too had this issue and had to reset SYNC multiple times? Thx

Did you adjust the screen brightness all the way up? Did it kick into night mode?

Checked all of those things...it was even dimmer than night mode. Taking the unit out now. Shame, because when it was working for that 1 hour it worked correctly earlier this morning, it was great. Too many bugs and too difficult to update. If updates were downloadable...and the system was less quirky....Phoenix would have a winner on their hands. Now I'll get to figure out the return process...which has been difficult for many on this forum lately.

I went ahead and pulled some of the relevant info to get it all in one spot.
If I get a few minutes this weekend, I'll try and do a quick write up of the install steps as watching the video is a little slow and aggravating. lol

The unit:
https://www.phoenixautomotiveinc.co...on-radio-for-ford-f-150-f-250-f-350-2015-2019

Use code raptor10 for 10%

Phoenix Install Video:

Tools needed:
You need a Torx 10, 7mm socket with extension and two Phillips head (#2 and a small phillips)

Firmware Update:

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ubh6eqqhxy7rl8b/AAAJrP7oSam-6v0PwVj6GU6Ya?dl=0

Adjust Screen Frequency/Refresh:
Go to settings
System info. Press and hold on the middle of the screen.
Enter code 7890.
Then under system settings. Scroll down until you see screen frequency. Change to high.
Save and reboot.

Adjust Screen Rendering:
Force GPU render and disable hardware overlay or or whatever it’s called in the same spot under dev options.

How to Change Boot Up Screen:

It is really help if you can put few thing more over here it will help lot to everyone.Like I find regarding gps most of them who installed just connected factory gps antenna to tablet...issue gps not working correctly..
Like few thing and setting we have must take care during installion
I was looking all thread and mine is installed by car toys still have couple of issue backup camera sensors is not working

1.Is we have to adjust the screen frequency rate and why??
2. Is we have to update the firmware?
3. Is we have to update the google play services?

If some one can post thread about all common mistake and few setting we have to tc during install it will helps everyone basically it was the the responsibility of the seller since there is no installation instructions is there

A lot of what I’m seeing I believe is related to user installation errors.

There aren’t any directions and the installation is in many respects... done via intuition.

The above issue sounds like connectors aren’t properly pushed together.

The other guy with the navigation problems sounds like the satellite antennae isn’t properly connected.

To install:

Remove old
Sync screen. Transfer from the old
Screen to the new screen all of the hardware including part of the sync brain. Control board, knobs. There is a new supplied screen cable you have to use.

When reinstalling there is a T harness. Pull the CD player out. Unplug it. Plug in the T harness to it. Plug the old harnesses into the new T harness tails. Take the other end of the T harness and plug them into the unit. Plug in the in dash speaker. You need it for the people who didn’t. Plug in the SUPPLIED satellite antenna to the unit. Plug the FACTORY satellite antenna back into the sync unit. So there are two satellite antenna. Plug in the Factory usb cables BACK into the sync brain. Plug the UNIT USB CABLES into the unit via harness and route to the glove box.

A lot of the errors I’m seeing are folks not realizing that aside from the T harness, every single stock connection has to be reconnected in addition to the new connections that are made to the unit. Everything has to be tight as well.

Hope some of this info helps.
This post is relevant. I didn't realize there were to plugs on the back of the radio brain... also, at first I got no sync - the cable that plugs to the sync brain was not seated properly.

I found how to change the refresh rate to high but I still cant find the GPU setting?

Hard reset your sync 3. Report back

:)

Dang Phoenix should be paying you for product support haha. Your help I think is the only reason people are getting anywhere with the unit and it is somewhat working properly. Problem is I think you might be the only one that has positive feedback that this unit is worth the money and any initial headaches its causing.

If you get any free time an install video and run down would be so awesome!
