Good news, sounds like you're making progress. I'm biased of course but the Magnetic is a sweet color and doesn't show dirt as bad as some of the other colors! Especially with the bead lock (black) wheels!! PS, if I was closer, I'd come help you switch out the upgrades (cost you a few beers though) ;)
Your Rap looks sweet!! Magnetic would have been the color I definitely have ordered when I purchased my truck back in 17' if I had the option of ordering it to my spec. All of my previous vehicles have been in the grey shade and it's my go to. RR was one of those colours where I never would have ordered myself but now love kind of scenarios. I'm not a beer guy but there would have been endless vodka for your help! [emoji12]

LOL, you don't want me anywhere near your new truck drinking vodka...pretty much stick to beer and a good cab these days ;). I've never been a "red" guy but have to admit there is a 2016 RR Platinum around here that just POPS in the sunlight, he keeps it clean and it looks really sharp!

whenever I have these issues with supplies and labor is involved, and both parties want to resolve it ( you want it fixed, they don't want a headache).just offer to pay their cost on the labor. forget the $120/hour nonensense. pay them what they pay the crewman so they don't lose monies, and yo uget it done. maybe its 25,/hour or $30ish all in with taxes, etc. your list looks like 8 hours of labor or 10, and if they charge you cost on their labor for $300 you're done and no more aggravation.

Wrapping this up. Finally picked up my replacement yesterday.

Corporate agreed on paying for the full cost of the removal/re-install of my aftermarket parts. I was way off on my guesstimate. From a forwarded copy of what the dealer sent in for a quote, they charged a little over $4k. o_O o_O They screwed up/hackjob on the install of the dashcam but I'm just going to take it in my audio installer to have them clean it up.

Timing wise the entire process took about five months with the replacement truck sitting at the dealer for a month while paperwork was all finalized.

Corporate's program (RAV) is a pretty big mess and if I had to go through it again I think I would have taken the cash. My rep was always referencing the wrong case file, wrote all the paperwork incorrectly, and even sent the final packet to the wrong dealership and stated that was her only copy.

One odd change from the 17' to 18' was that my aftermarket front wheels now rub on my mud flaps at turn. I had the dealer remove the flaps but there must of been some design tweak. B&O sounds the same to me as the Sony, steering wheel leather feels different, they changed the seatbelt airbag sign on the belt to a pictogram. I was running of E-rated KO2's on my 17' and the ride now seems smoother even with the 45psi that the dealer always inflate to.

Going to get the appointments set up for a tint, still think I'm going to Line-X rear wheel wells again, and stop by a shop to get the tailgate wrapped.

Thanks for everyone's advice!

Beav:

Any chance you can let me know how/who you contacted to begin your buyback process. I have an '18 in a NorCal dealer with a mysterious electrical problem (can't engage drive models such as SPORT, Baja) and I've gotten nowhere in terms of fix with the truck now at the dealer for over 30 days. I bought the truck at MSRP out of state so my dealer isn't overly cooperative as I've shown them no loyalty other than service calls.

Wanted to start the discussion w/ Ford Corporate. I have a Business Development background, and while no lawyer understand negotiation and leverage points so was hoping to do this on my own versus hire a Lemon Law firm to represent me. Thanks in advance.

Cbeit,

First research the lemon laws of the state where you purchased the truck as they will be referring back to those laws in deciding on any agreement to a buyback. Purchase state determines what laws they follow regardless of where you live.

If you've met the requirements of that state, contact the 800 corporate number and inform them that your truck is still at the dealership for xx days without any resolution. The CSR will have access to dealer service records through the VIN. If they believe the issue meets the buyback criteria, they will send all of the information to management and you will receive a letter in a few weeks as to their determination.

As it seems you haven't had any communication with corporate yet, you may be contacted by their regional manager to try and escalate and resolve your repair. I was already in contact with corporate before asking for a buyback as my tranny needed to be replaced and it was waiting for parts for over three weeks. When the tranny failed again, I asked the regional manager for a buyback who referred me to call the 800 back to make the request.

Happy to help with any questions. Good luck.

On my 15 lariat I just called corporate and told them I thought my truck was a lemon. They sent a letter within a two week time period and agreed and bought it back, took about 5 weeks to complete. Try that first BUT do not talk about getting a lawyer or they will freeze everything and not do or tell you anything until the legal precedings are over which could be months or years. Good luck! Purchased in Cali so it was easy with the state laws here.
