Well great. With all of the people moving to TX from other states has made it not such a great place anymore. Thankfully you don't like TX and we don't have to worry about you moving here. Now if you could tell all of the people in the West to stay there we'd appreciate it.

Austin had 6 shootings this weekend.

As a native Texan I've seen the entire state go down hill and it will continue unfortunately.
I had to laugh at "all the people moving to Texas from other states" making it a bad place. Surely it has nothing to do with the criminal human garbage illegally flooding across the border in your back yard.

My truck is one of the last week of 2018 production and has the 802a package. Settings on dash are exactly what you describe and I have the same questions...

All sensors is the interior motion detection AND the external shock as well? Sounds like it but not 100% clear.

I could find no sensitivity setting in the menu, maybe Forscan can change that? Maybe there's a screw that can be turned in or out to increase decrease sensitivity of the shock sensor?

Just to clarify because even some of the clarifying info was a bit lacking.

The 802A Anti-theft alarm system has the perimeter protection system which is activated when any of the doors or the hood or tailgate are opened. It also has the overhead console motion sensors (4) which detect motion both in the front seats and the rear seats. It also has an inclination sensor which is designed to trigger from unauthorized towing.

In the Information Display you can go to Settings, Advanced Settings, Vehicle, Alarm and configure whether you would like all of the system to be armed or only the Perimeter detection (doors, hood, tailgate). Perimeter Only works nicely if your truck is being towed or is on a ferry or if you want to leave your dog inside with the windows open. Selecting Perimeter Only resets to full alarm mode each time you cycle the ignition. You can select Ask on Exit which will at least give you the simple option to select it each time you exit the vehicle. There is not currently a documented way of disabling the motion sensors via FORScan or a way of making the Perimeter Only selection remain permanent...although I am playing around with it.

Yes you could conceivable smash out the windows without setting off the alarm but very unlikely...as the interior motion sensors do not take much to be activated. If the glass flying into the front seat didn't do it, the bat would likely get picked up and trigger the alarm.

There is not vibration, shock or impact detection in the factory system.

Ford Perimeter Plus is not a factory option. It must be added after purchase. It is available for all Gen2 trucks (and even some Gen1's). If you have 802A with remote start it is a simple 15 minute install. It adds vibration, shock and impact detection and has a knob on the module that mounts under the dash that is used to adjust the sensitivity. When there is sufficient impact to the glass or a body panel, the 2-stage shock sensor determines whether to issue a single warning chirp of the horn or a full alarm.

If your truck did not have remote start, Perimeter Plus will add that capability but may require add'l parts.

These are the part numbers for Perimeter Plus:
