With everything I've done above I am still **** about where I park. If I was at a hotel here I think i'd park at the front door.

Sorry to hear about your truck - cant say you weren't warned about SA....

Well great. With all of the people moving to TX from other states has made it not such a great place anymore. Thankfully you don't like TX and we don't have to worry about you moving here. Now if you could tell all of the people in the West to stay there we'd appreciate it.

Austin had 6 shootings this weekend.

As a native Texan I've seen the entire state go down hill and it will continue unfortunately.

by moving here you mean moving here Illegally I assume...

I mean I'm glad you like where you live and all, but there's no reason to be negative towards anyone because they don't want to live there. It's not a requirement for everyone to want to live in Texas man. Some people don't like the cold snowy North. Some people don't like the humid Southeast. It's ok to not want to live somewhere, doesn't mean someone is bad and going to bring crime with them to the area.

Oh no, trust me--I'm THANKFUL you don't like it here. I wish more people didn't like it--unfortuntely they are moving here by the tens of thousands and ruining the place. I'm glad you live and want to stay in UT. I like UT BTW.

Bought a 2019 in Austin on Friday and drove it to San Antonio (small end-of-Spring-Break getaway with the kiddos). Someone broke in on Saturday afternoon...in the middle of the day in the hotel parking lot. Ended up driving home that night instead of going to dinner and enjoying the rest of the weekend. Now to see if I can convince the insurance compnay and whoever is going to repair the door to put the passenger side handle on.
Sorry to hear you got broken into. I doubt you'll have any luck getting insurance to cover the passenger handle. You have to modify a part to fit in a location where it wasn't designed to go. In my case, I had a $500 deductible so insurance didn't factor in at all. I bought the handle ($90), got it painted ($70) and installed it myself. As I recall, it took around 2 hours, but I also didn't know what all I had to do to make it fit. I was also installing the jimmi jammer at the same time. If you use the instruction in this thread from me and johnt87, you should be able to do this in under 1.5 hours.

I guess I get what you mean, I wouldn't like it if droves of people were moving to my area and causing issues. The reason I don't like going to Texas is the same as your reason why you don't want people moving there. I've been in Texas overnight 3 times and 3 out of 3 times something was stolen from me. I've driven through Amarillo many times going from GA - UT but I don't stop to sleep there anymore, I had to break up my drives differently to avoid stopping in Texas and I've never had anything stolen anywhere else since I stopped staying overnight in Texas. In fact I've never had anything stolen in my entire life except in Texas and it's 3 for 3. So our reasons are the same. I'm sure if that happened to you in say Florida, you'd probably have the same opinion about Florida as I do about Texas.

Question: with the folks adding the passenger side handle to the driver side, why not use the rear driver side handle of a SCREW? I'm presuming you're trying to maintain the sensor, or is there another reason? I have an 800A and contemplated doing the relocation.

Yes, I want to retain the keyless entry access on my 802A. If you don't need the sensor, I would imagine the rear driver handle of a Screw would fit with less modification and it would cost less.
