Yes, That is true. All the Rangers that were are SEMA are the 2.3L and that is currently the only option they are offering when ordering the truck in the US. The trucks will start shipping early 2019.

I was very surprised to find out it weighs about the same as my supercab, ~5200lbs.

Any new news on this making its way in 2019?

Well...I saw a maroon colored Raptor the other day. Now I'm jonesing for that. Not sure if I can wait another year just to see if this raptor ranger will come out in the U.S. or not pfffft.
