Let me know how difficult it was to detail yourself? I asked the dealer to do the same because my last one didn't go so well.

On a side note mine has been pushed back a day and I can only assume that is to find a full load on the transport truck.

I plan on doing full paint correction and ceramic coating. That will take the better part of this coming weekend and possibly next, but I'll update once I'm done.

I did all the "dealer prep" work myself last night. Only took 30 minutes or so, mostly pulling off stickers and protective wrap. Fortunately the stickers they cover the vehicle with don't leave residue. I assumed most wouldn't but figured there would be a couple on the glass I'd have to use goo gone on.

All in all, I'm glad I asked the dealer to skip the prep. As my sales guy put it, they just pay high school students and they're not exactly careful.

I'm taking it to a local shop tomorrow for some decals, then full wash and prep for the paint correction.

Happy to finally be able to start all the items I had planned!

If anyone is sick of waiting for their build here’s something I found near me that’s probably a popular build option! Recaros performance blue and beadlocks ! Address is on sticker

Not hard at all to detail it yourself. After removing the stickers, just be sure the first step in taking care of the paint is to use an iron removal spray. Until I followed this forum, I never even heard about iron contamination. I used two 16 oz Iron Removal spray bottles from Adam’s Polishes, and it was amazing how much my 19 Raptor bled purple!

Raptor got in. Picked it up Monday. Unfortunately when dealer moved my order from original retail order to stock order the tailgate applique delete option did not make it over. Will be swapping the tailgate with the next applique delete Raptor to be delivered to dealer in a month or so.

Till then, my truck is getting ppf, tint & ceramic coating. Once I get it back in a week or two and install my first batch of mods I'll post some pics and report on any issues or hopefully, how amazing the truck is and that its worth the wait.

@Locke congrats!! Are you doing PPF on the whole truck or just part?

I was on the fence but ended up going with the full wrap & ceramic coating. Tailgate will wait till the applique delete replacement gets in.

Drove the truck a bit before dropping it off. Feels solid and so far it has met my expectations. Looking forward to driving it more. Used to have an extended bed/cab Ram 2500 with a cummins yet was surprised how the Raptor feels noticeably bigger due to the increased width. Coupled with the solid suspension and all the tech it feels planted and in command of road. Eager to buckle into my captain's chair and see how my new ship handles off tarmac. Shields up in 2 weeks.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy for passing on the applique. While the applique is tastefully done, I just find this more appealing:

No just a pic I pulled from the internet for comparison.

Gonna be 1-2 months till it gets replaced.

Any word on your order ddpt?
Same status. Shop.ford intermittently shows the truck but it shows est delivery 02/14, but then shows days for delivery as 8 days. Its probably buried somewhere on ramp 59 which is the worst ramp supposedly. Shop.ford no longer makes window sticker available. I downloaded about 3 weeks ago when it was posted.
