this filter looks extremely small. the specs do not list the 3.5EB either. i will just stick with the Motocraft filter.

I run the same filter and royal Purple oil.

I’m a Pennzoil Ultra Platinum guy but have been considering trying something new since two different dealers have told me the rattle, tick, grind symposium I hear with every cold start is “normal, within spec.”

Maybe I just need a new flavor of snake oil.

Seriously WHAT IS THAT. And how could it possibly be related to the oil filter though?

Anyone else using the Ford performance filter?

Have read somewhere that the (filter specified in the manual) FL-500s bypass valve is set to a different pressure than the 820 series.

Really would like to buy a premium filter to use but am concerned the cm-6731-fl820 is not appropriate for our trucks.

If it IS... I’m ready to place an order.

Wondering if you ever found a solution?

I called Ford Performance and they said CM-6731-FL820 is the correct filter but that their isn't enough space for it?
