yes and no....... i've read that some powdercoaters ovens are too hot for springs and can possibly affect them. I had carli springs on my ram 2500 and they recommend having them painted. Or ask the powdercoater to turn down the heat on the oven while baking your springs.

I guess it could depend on the spring but I've had springs done by them for big fox coilovers that have thousands of desert/race miles and still look fine.

Guess it comes down to if your coater works on that kind of stuff often and knows how to do it right. In my area it's a common thing so I guess they just know how to do it.

So for those of you that have installed these springs does your truck sit level? Seems to me that 2.5 is a quarter inch too high. Would love some honest feedback before I rip out the adjustable RPGs and have the springs installed. Also has anyone switched from the collars to springs, and if so is the ride different?

No, it is now almost 1" higher in the front than the rear, but the Deavers will solve that. I did note a "reverse rake" in a previous post (Post #45).

It sounds like going with these springs and the ICON leaf’s ‘option 1’ setting will level the truck out and provide slightly better ground clearance. Win!

I was going to do the eibachs + icon leafs (option 3) with the sdhq 2” extended (1” lowering) shackle

Let me know how that works out with the truck, I was thinking of option 2. What do you get out of the longer shackle?

Mostly going for more spring weight capacity while keeping around option 2 lift height

Clear enough, I’ll see how mine sits on setting 2 with normal gear (350-450lbs) and how it does with occasional towing.
