I had this same problem on my 2012 Shelby. Turned out it was a bad hid blast on the passenger side.. cost 800.00 for a new one.. but it fixed the problem..

Thanks Dan, I had thought ballast originally too, so only reason I dont think thats the issue with mine is because I switched the headlights around temporarily and the same thing happened (which is why I ruled out bulb, ballast, relay) in the headlight housing

So my plan is just take it into Ford Dealership and act dumb and when they say a new BCM will be $1 Billion, I'll say cool, its under warranty - I dont think they can say the aftermarket lights caused this right? because lets face it, they couldnt.

LOL! Worth a shot, not much online about that code, mostly interior LED issues...there's always a chance they will blame the lights but by the same token there's always a chance a different Ford dealer won't. Good luck I hope they get it done.

Same here, wondering if the short it's detecting is between like the dome light circuit and the headlight circuit. But why would either one be lit with the truck off like yours is doing? There too it may be internal, like the BCM PCB, and had nothing to do with the headlights being stock or aftermarket. Mere conjecture though, without having a service manual (I need one)...

Dealership said they wont touch it with the aftermarket headlights.... even though I explained its the stock bulb and ballasts... -sigh-
Now I need to acquire a stock set of HID Headlights to take it back - yes he said if I did that they would look into the issue.

I did get the Transmission recall notice done though while I was there LOL
