I read somewhere that ADD Stealth Front bumper doesn’t have an opening to reach the oil filter from the bottom and you would have to reach it from the top of the engine bay. They also said changing the oil filter from the top of the engine bay makes a mess.

I appreciate you guys in advance for the feedback.

Yeah it’s a freakin’ pain to change the oil on this truck with a ADD Stealth Fighter bumper. To deal with the filter you have to do it from the top of the engine bay. Considering the price of the bumper you would think would of actually thought the obvious. It doesn’t make too much of a mess, just time consuming.

The oil change in this truck is a mess unless you use a mitivac!

I use an 8 gallon mitivac and the oil filter wrench that fits the Ford oil filters. Makes it much easier with the ADD bumper or any bumper really.

I got rid of the bolts and nuts that hold the skid plate on and replaced them with u-nuts that way the skid plate can actually be removed for oil changes. I learned the hard way after having the honey badger and having to change the filter from the engine bay

I am not aware of any aftermarket bumper that has an opening in the skid plate for oil changes. However, the oil filter is very easy to get to from under the hood. The raptors also have a built in plastic drain/redirect for the oil that spits it out on the outside of our skidplate. Oil changes arent nearly as hard as many make it out to be.

Your new ADD Pro Bolt on bumper has a removable skid, does it not? I just received mine and the bolts on the skid can be taken out.

The skid plates on all of the bumpers are removable but after the bumper is installed it is impossible to get to all of the nuts to remove it

from under the hood? How long are your arms? and once you install an aftermarket inter-cooler, can you still access the filter from under the hood?

I’m 6’3” and with the king 3.0 setup on mine I had to use a small step stool to get it relatively easily but it was a tight fit for my arms
