2018 802a vs 2019 801a

i can buy a new 2019 801a or a loaded leftover 2018 802a for similar money. What would be a better choice?

What do you drive now? What are you looking for? For me personally, I enjoy creature comforts. I love my butt cheeks nice & toasty, my hands warm on a steering wheel, remote start, features of the navi, big sunroof etc. Could I do without it? Absolutely. But hey, technology exists and if I have the option to buy it, might as well try it out - especially if I haven’t before. For me, its my daily driver, my work truck, my adventure truck, truck for my dogs... pretty much everything in my life. So for me, I wanted to enjoy it and not regret it, therefore I bought the whole enchilada!

The only main differences between the ‘18 and ‘19 are the Live Valve Fox suspension, Recaro interior, slightly upgraded design on the beadlocks. Oh and two new colors - Agate black and Performance blue. Me personally, I know that within a few years I’d upgrade again to another Raptor with a new-er setup anyway, so all of the new new features don’t really hold me back.

TLDR: If you want to stick with a higher resale and plan on selling it within a short timeframe, I’d say pick the 801a since it’s a 2019.

If you want to ball out with toasty **********, have the coolest tech and a skylight, get the 802a.

I would go 802A all the way.

802a for me. I really enjoy the creature comforts like many have posted above. The 19s have nice new features, if you get the 802a. I went with the 18 due to the color, Leadfoot.

802a, way too much good stuff in the package to miss out on.

I was in the same predicament, bought a 2018 802a, 72k sticker price for 63k in MN. Hands down great decision as I love all the doo dads on the 802a.
