I did look but couldn't locate anything with even a remotely close description. I'll talk to my dealer when I'm stateside again.

Well, I completed a few security mods over the past week:

1) I received the passenger handle (HC3Z-2522404-GDPTM), got it painted at the local body shop and installed it on my driver side door. It wasn't exactly plug and play. I had to make a few modifications to the new handle. The photo below shows the difference between the driver (top) and passenger (bottom) handle. I took my time test fitting it and there were a couple areas of the passenger handle that I needed to cut away with a Dremel to make it fit properly. I also had to to remove the clip on the wire harness, rotate it 180 degrees and snap it back on, which was not difficult but I'm glad I figured that out before it was installed because working on it inside the door cavity is a pain. Also make sure you remove the metal pin by the blue wire and reinsert it the opposite direction since the handle will be upside down. Once installed, it works perfectly.



2) I also installed Jimmi Jammers in the doors. As you may have guessed, the plate on the driver side also required some trimming to fit on the upside down passenger handle. I used a bandsaw to make the rough cuts and cleaned it up a little with a Dremel.


3) I also installed the Ford Perimeter Plus Alarm (JS7Z-19A361-A) with the Bajamod mount plate and LED Light (DM5Z-19D596-A). I drilled a hole and mounted the light in the dash. Easy Install.


4) As a supporting mod for the handle swap, in case the battery gets completely drained I routed a 4 gauge wire from the battery to a spot I could access without popping the hood.


5) I also installed the tailgate keeper for good measure.

All this is added to the security mods that I already have and I'm considering a couple more.

Does this mean it already has the perimeter module? If so, how can I up the sensitivity? I rocked the truck back and forth pretty good and it didn’t set off the alarm.

My truck is one of the last week of 2018 production and has the 802a package. Settings on dash are exactly what you describe and I have the same questions...

All sensors is the interior motion detection AND the external shock as well? Sounds like it but not 100% clear.

I could find no sensitivity setting in the menu, maybe Forscan can change that? Maybe there's a screw that can be turned in or out to increase decrease sensitivity of the shock sensor?

No. Your truck does not have the Perimeter Plus Alarm, which is basically a shock sensor, from the factory regardless of trim level. I believe the factory alarm will only activate if (a) you open the door without unlocking the truck or (b) you set off the interior motion sensors in the front seats. So without the add on shock sensor, someone can take a baseball bat to your truck, break all the window, and nothing will happen unless they open the door or climb through the front window. The shock sensor on the Perimeter Plus Alarm module has an adjustable sensitivity knob.

If you get rid of the lock cylinder and rod assembly with the new passenger handle (love that clean look by the way), what purpose does the jimmy jammer plate serve? I'm not that familiar with their product but I was under the impression that their guard plate just protected the lock/rod assembly from being tampered with by the screw driver break in method. Maybe someone with more knowledge of the handle/door internals can chime in here.

It would just keep them from jamming a screwdriver into your door and causing more damage. They'd hit the plate and know they couldn't get in so hopefully they'd give up.

They can still pry the handle back with enough force. Think... why are the Jimmi Jammers available for all 4 doors when only the driver door has a lock cylinder?

If they are after your vehicle, it doesnt matter if they have your FOB..
