Folks,

Several people have mentioned that by removing the Silencer we can achieve a higher amount of turbo 'whine'.

Would someone post a procedure to accomplish this task?

It’s really easy. Look for directions on Cobbs website for their intake installation. One came out easy for me, the other I had to slowly pry out with a flat head.

All you need to do is remove the stock intake tubes then look inside the remaining two intake sections coming from the engine. You will see a black plastic fan blade looking thing inside the stationary tube section (one large and one small). Just pull it out and then replace the intake.

Post the link. It’s impossible to read the pic you posted. I am assuming that Dyno shows reduced hp with the silencers removed. Not sure I understand how that is possible. MPT is who told me to remove them in the first place.

I think they are there for the reason, reducing turbulent airflow in the inlet

Hey guys, new to the forum and do not own a Raptor but I do own a 17 gen2 3.5 XLT 302A. Just wanted to share this from BCB's Instagram page. Over on the EcoBoost forum this has been brought up a few times and seems the guys that pull them end up putting them back in. This was a 2018 2.7

How long between runs was the truck allowed to cool ? were they done in the morning afternoon Night? Room and IT temps on all runs the same? better test would have been to put the Swirlers back in with the AFe MF2..
