If you buy a 50" Bar from me right now i'll go install one on the mounts (temporarily) lol

we’d probably have to put some more height on the mount for a bar to work because of the hood profile in the middle.

but yeah... I kinda heard you were a jeeper. :p NOT that there’s anything wrong with that...

Nope, not a jeeper, no interest in putting an LED bar on my hood like them Jeepers do

Great option and definitely looks like a quick install, but (as stated in the video) be super careful about hood movement, if your hood moves, good luck getting it back into alignment, its a FKing PITA.

Thanks for the pic with the lp6's, do you think the peripheral light from those would toss to much across the hood

Dunno. I'll throw one up and take some photos and see how she looks. I know one customer of mine did put LP6's on his pillars on his Gen1, no complaints so far.

Yes Big Blue, I learned my lesson. That's why I made my "suggestion" in the video *grin*

I took the 2 bolts off and as im taking the bolts off im thinking "I wonder if this will sli..." and then she starts sliding (SUMABITCH)

So a bunch and forth to get her aligned.

That's why i recommend loosen one, get one side in, tighten it back down. Then loosen the other and slide the bracket. You may need to loosen the first bolt but JUST ENOUGH where you can slide it and the hood stays put.

So did I! : ) I used SDHQ mounts on my Gen 1 and the hood shifted. After several hours of trying and cursing, I ended up taking it to my local body shop to fix, it was not fun.

Again, great alternative to standard hood mounts! Regards

I finally got mine aligned. Weird thing is my 2015 hood was out of alignment also (the shop removed it when they put my new engine in) so i was already having flashbacks :)

But I got her in. It's not 100% perfect, but i did the best I could. I can tell it's off a little, but nobody else can tell.

Here ya go. Some photos from tonight. Now I have the Lightning Blue truck so i may not get as much light coming back at me then say someone with a white truck. But there seemed to be very minimal light coming back and across the hood. Don't mind the messy harness... it was a temporary power feed. Also shown is an LP6 Driving/Combo next to an XL Pro Spot for reference.

With the Alternative Offroad A-Pillar mounts you can open the hood without any issues.
