I see very few SCab Raptors vs. SCrews

Have you not driven a SCAB? Like I said before, SCREW wasn't an option in 2011 because Ford thought it too big a compromise of offroad capability. I've driven both on and offroad, and the SCAB handles much better when you get on the throttle. I should say the SCREW is more planted in the rear, which is both good and bad, but all other handling characteristics are better in the SCAB.

I'm sure there is a difference- but still, they are both Raptors. Neither one is bad, and you can easily push both past the stock suspension capabilities quickly. The minor improvement just isn't worth the smaller cab and weird door configuration to 90% of the buyers. Honestly surprised Ford hasn't killed the Scab Raptor entirely.

If you have kids and still have a wife, the crew cab is a must. Suicide doors and general space for junk just sucks in an extended cab. I've had plenty of them when that was all that was available, getting a real crew cab was like seeing colors I'd never seen before!
I still have the wife, but the baby is turning 22 this year so the truck is not the family hauler anymore.

I owned 3 different SCREW F150s over the years (none were a Raptor) and I like the shorter wheel-base the most. Storage space is not an issue at all. benefits of the shorter length is most apparent in parking lots and slow-speed wheeling in heavily treed areas. I have to say I do not miss the 4 full doors, only exception is when I want to let a back passenger out the front passenger usually is not aware they not only have to open their door (everyone knows that) but they also have to undo their seatbelt. That is the ONLY thing that is irritating, but there's no way around it either.

If they killed the SCAB I wouldn't buy one of these trucks. People who want them want them. Also But Muh RESALE arguement. When people are looking for these in the future and want a SCAB they'll pay what it costs to get them. More rare is always worth more on halo cars.

Go look at a G500 2 door.

I hear ya. My son is a HS freshman and on the baseball team. The district doesn't provide buses for weekday games, for whatever reason, so parents get to haul the kids around. Also frequent out of town trips for travel ball, etc. Heck, a van or suburban would be even better. lol.

I don't do much off-roading anymore, but a shorter wheelbase would be great if that were the case. Up until recently, I always had a rock-crawler of some sort, I can't see doing anything serious in a Raptor, Scab or otherwise. That's what crappy jeeps are for.

If Ford didn't offer the SCAB, I wouldn't buy. No need of 4 doors and big back seat. Last 2 trucks were standard cabs.

I specifically ordered my 2017 SCab and I love the turn radius, off-road handling as well as the suicide doors for getting stuff into the back. The SCrew looks out of proportion in my eyes. Also, didn't purchase for resale value, but what I thought looked sexy and I'll keep her til she can no longer perform.

Never did mind the suicide doors when I've used trucks with them for work nor when I owned a 1998 f-150. But when I saw how much space the screw had I wanted it. To many trips with my car packed to the brim. No plans for kids for another 10 years so that wasn't even a consideration lol
