I'm sure a shill from autostop eliminator will come by soon as well if you want to spend $100 for the same result.

Not sure why the negative connotation to any method other than unplugging a wire under the dash.

I spent $100 on the 4D Tech CanOpener OBD2 flash solution. I didn't want to unplug the connector then plug it back in every time I want to tow, the cost doesn't move my needle, and it's my truck and my choice. I guess that makes me a shill LOL

Greetings- new to forum. Just bought a '19 Raptor. Regarding the Auto-Start-Stop button, an office buddy said that disconnecting the 'wire' that plugs into the negative terminal on the battery will kill that option. Now, given this is all new to me, I am not about to start unplugging wires...wanted to float that one out to the Forum. There is just one wire that officially 'plugs' into the black (neg) grounded terminal, but it also tees off of another wire that goes lots of other places. Not sure exactly what this wire is. Anyone ever tried this, or know what this wire does? Thanks!

I installed something called the Autostart Eliminator from TRL Automotive. It was $100 and just plugs in behind the dash to the autostart button. All it does it remember the last setting, so if you turn it off it’ll stay off. I like it because it’s super simple and doesn’t require messing with any settings or real electrical components. Takes 5 minutes to install and they claim it won’t void your warranty (I really don’t think it would, it’s a lot less invasive than changing settings or other stuff). So far I really like it. Also has the benefit of being an actual chip with memory instead of using something like a jumper where it can get stuck with the auto start on, having the opposite intended affect.

I have a question if you bump the shift knob down into M does it turn off the auto start and stop?

Thx. My BMW has this auto start and stop feature although it can be disabled with a button. I don’t mind a feature where I am at a traffic signal or a train stopping when I know I will be stopped for 30 to 90 seconds however it does not make sense at a stop sign or other places you pause or stop for only a couple seconds. Or when you pull up to a red light and you can tell from the yellow facing the other direction it is going to turn

In my current BMW I normally leave it on but I disable it based on the conditions by reaching over and popping that the gearshift into sport. Then once going I might reactivate it by shifting back into automatic

There’s a button on the raptor that disables it as well.

So I’m a little bit confused why this thread exists

Apparently, presssing the button requires too much effort. Even still countless other permanent and proven methods have already been discussed time and again. Yet the thread still exists.

In the BMW when you restart the car it reverts to the last setting that you left the start/stop on (or off). So I assume that in the raptor every time you restart the truck the stop start resets to the on position ?
