Nasty little Surprise!

I was having my radar detector hard wired this morning.
The tech made a nasty little discovery.

Someone had placed an after market gps tracking device on my truck. I ordered this truck so it's only been in my hands and the dealers. I would why they have placed the tracker.

It was located behind the glove compartment. It was removed.

What line of work are you in? Is your wife suspicious of anything?

Just kidding. I would start with the dealer. It doesnt look like much of a permanent installation. Maybe the dealer has theft issues and puts temp trackers in their vehicles?

That, or you have some enemies.

She does have a million dollar life insurance policy out on me.

I will ask the deal tomorrow.

I’ve bought cars from dealers that put those in EVERY CAR...and charge you for them. I refused to pay, and demanded it be removed... it was a war, but they did it...

I only see that with lots for Buy Here, Pay Here. So they can disable the vehicle and pick it up on a repo.

What kind of financing did you do?

How long have you had the truck?

The Ford app knows the truck’s location. Doesn’t that involve GPS?

Some finance companies require them I've read
