I agree! I guess that’s why we have pedal commander. I also hate the auto stop / start but as we all know there are fixes for that.

I don’t mind it holding shifts when I drive on the street. I hated the way my 17 drove in sport mode and I love the way the 19 drives in sport mode. I’m waiting to decide whether to reinstall my pedal commander. I may not even mess with it if this truck continues to be as good in sport mode as my initial experience

just sayin...that is how it is supposed to work. "sport" mode is intended for spirited driving. The last thing you want to have happen when doing some sort of a timed run, is to let off throttle as you set up and brake for a corner, expecting to roll back into the throttle on exit.....having the truck "up shift" mid corner would be bad.

People...my self included.....use "sport" mode on the street when it is really not designed for it. I have said man times....i wish there was a "sport" mode with that throttle response, but "normal" mode shift mapping. that would be the perfect set up for me.

No, yours must not be doing what mine was as it was in no way normal. I have owned and driven many many types of sports cars and the way mine was doing was not correct at all. When you would let off the throttle it would hold way way to long after spirited driving was finished. I would have to manipulate the throttle to get it to upshift, very very strange. My 19 works perfectly like it should.

I'm interested in knowing if any '18 owners have gotten a recent factory flash that makes the 18 behave as you describe the 19. My very late 18 does exactly what you're describing; good for a timed run, not so good for the street.

Mamunna, is that you?

Electric running boards are not an option on a Raptor.......
Not from factory but can be added at any dealer or accessories shop.I have seen a few raptors with them on in my area.

+1 vs my 18. It really feels significantly better.

I got mine flashed last week. Huge difference

You should get it done. Print out the TSB and show it to the service advisor when you take it in. Otherwise they'll just take it out for a drive and say it's normal. In my work order they actually printed that it's normal operation but went ahead and did the flash anyway because I gave them the print out and said I wanted it done.

You can get them from Amp Research, I believe same company that supplies them to Ford. They're a direct fit, except on the SCAB they need to be trimmed. I'm pushing 70 and was thinking of getting these, but like the factory running boards too much to change.

This looks like it might give me more clearance when off-road in the rocks. Does anyone have these installed? Will it give me more clearance?
