@COBB Tuning is it possible to order one overnight that doesn't require a signature? I want to overnight one so its at my doorstep tomorrow but your site says everything will require a signature and I wont have anyone home to sign for it.

Unfortunately, we're not able to ship it overnight without the signature. Sorry for the bad news. It can be a PITA but the one option would be, once you have tracking, you should be able to update the shipping destination to a local UPS store and they'll hold it for pick-up there. Also, there may be some dealers that are able to ship without the requirement or you may be able to swing by a local place and buy it off the shelf. Check out cobbtuning.com/dealers for a list of dealers near you.

When you order say a Stage 1+ kit, is the correct map already in the AP when it arrives or do you have to get it from the website either way? Side note... WTF is a swirl generator? Lol

Seems like Stage 1/1+ use the same maps. That or I got the wrong maps included with my Stage 1+. My AccessPort only has the Stage 1 maps available.

A swirl generator is something from a soft-serve ice cream machine. They make ice cream cones look more visually appealing.

Actually, it's these things that Ford puts into the intake tubes. I can't really tell if I have any more or less turbo intake noise with them removed.

The name difference (Stage 1/Stage 1+) only applies to the Packages. Both package configurations use the same Stage 1 map. As additional Stage 2 and Stage 3 maps are available, they can be had through a simple firmware update. If you purchase an Accessport after they are available, they will be included on the Accessport.

The numbers in the map name are a hard minimum for the octane that can be run. While the ECU is capable of pulling timing to prevent catastrophic failure, there is lots of margin removed when running a map intended for higher octane fuel. The truck won't make more power on those maps without the correct fuel due to excessive timing pull. We haven't done any testing with Torco but I'd be wary of it raising the octane content to the appropriate level.

Well 90 octane gas is the best that's available in Alaska, so Torco is my only choice for running any of the maps above the 87 octane tune. Torco is advertised as "concentrated racing fuel" and I believe it's something like 316 octane. I believe it's the real deal. 1 32oz can added to a full tank should get me to 91 octane and 2 32oz cans should take me to 93.

I flashed my ECU today with the 91 octane map. Powers delivery feel seem much smoother. I had the same benefit with my 2015 Wrx-which is why I went with Cobb again. I think it was well worth it for this alone. I only have the stage 1 package. I’m not sure how what performance I am missing without the CAI. Was very surprised they had everything shipped a few hours after I placed the order. Thanks!

Just to clear up any misconceptions, TCM tuning will be at an additional cost. This is consistent with TCM tuning for PDK for Porsche, the GTR TCM, and DSG tuning for VW. No word yet on pricing but I don't want anyone to have the expectation it will be included with the current Accessport price. Once available, you'll have the option to get an Accessport that comes with both ECU and TCM tuning or add the TCM tuning capability to your existing AP.

So how much more is that going to cost us? Maybe applo should pick up the tab since they say we would be able to download it.
