I changed the heated steering wheel timeout to 10 minutes:

714-01-01 9xxx xxxx xx Timeout enabled, 10 mins

The steering wheel does seem to stop heating but the button indicates it is still on. Also I get inconsistent results on timing. Has anyone else tried this setting and had other results?

I moved from a 17 to a 19 yesterday. I restored all my As Built saved setting on my 17 before turning my truck in.
After backing up all my As Built settings on my 19 in forscan, I started to reprogram my favorite settings into the new truck. I wanted to let everyone know that the BCM 726-42-01 (secure idle) was enabled from the factory on the 19. Not sure if this was the case in the 18. I read back but didn’t find any mention of it. All other stuff seems to be the same as 17. Going to play around more this next week with dlr mods. At least the Lincoln mirrors and double honk is done.

Thanks and confirmed secure idle was enabled on my factory '18.

Is there a way to have the heated seats come on when using remote start?

Kind of defeats the purpose (ok partially) to start it up a few minutes early on our frigid 39 degree Texas mornings and come out to find the seats are still 39 degrees.

Mine do, based on the exterior temp unless I turned the climate control off before turning off the truck. If it’s cold, heated seats and steering wheel come on. If it’s warm, the cooled seats kick on. It was this way from the factory on my ‘18 Raptor.

Hmmm, must be a case of RTFM then. Seems that is how they should work, my lowly Wrangler did that in 2016. But I'm not mistaken, in my 2018 (made during the last week or two) they only come on (based on outside temps) when I press the start button. Will search the manual, thanks!

Lol, yeah maybe so. Mine was produced in August '18 so should be the same. Check the Advanced Settings in the gauge cluster. I think it may be there.

My 2018 works like Speeddeacon's does. Heated when it's cold, cooled when it's hot.

Have you gone to Advanced Settings > Vehicle > Remote Start > Front Seats & Wheel? Should be a toggle there for 'Auto' or something like that.

There is an option in the dash menu (advanced) you have to cycle around and select. Can't recall the options but look there or in the manual.
