Do the doors automatically lock when you walk away?

Thanks for the replies. They were helpful. The tailgate does lock with the fob and doors. I tested it by keeping fob far away.

I believe on these trucks you have to touch the handle or hit lock to lock the doors .they don't seem to auto lock when you walk away.

Apologies, i misunderstood the post. The truck definitely does not do anything fancy when it is parked, turned off, and left alone as you walk away with the keyfob.

I was referring to when the truck is running and you walk away. It definitely honks, and I'm pretty sure it locks, but i'll try again today

OK...never left it running and walked away without locking, so not sure...may have to try it and see what happens...

Hard to believe they would lock when you walked away. This would seem it could cause issues if you had passengers accessing the truck. You'd either lock them out or have the truck remain unlocked if they leave. That would in theory also set the alarm and movement inside would set off the alarm.

The truck will auto-lock when you UNLOCK with the key fob and do NOT open a door. After 30 seconds the truck re-locks.

If you walk away from the truck running with the key in your pocket, it honks to let you know it doesn't have a key in range anymore. It still remains running, but if you shut it off after you walk away with key, it will not start again. I don't remember if it locked or not.

Is that what you meant?

I know my truck is locked by simply looking at the rear view side mirrors. I Forscanned them into the Lincoln mode - great side benefit I suppose.

Interesting observation. If I can figure out how to get FORScan to show me the required modules I will do this as well.

My 2018 corvette z06 has an option in the settings that when you walk away from the car with the fob it locks the doors. And when you get near it unlocks and turns on the perimeter lighting.

With the raptor I learned to just hit the button on the handle when leaving. Simple and works great.
