Does using a Mac computer to load the tunes matter?

The instructions do not specify

You can use a Mac or PC as long as you can use a SD card. I file is emailed to you with a link from drop box, you just have to save the file on the SD card and then insert that card in your provided programmer. It is simple to use. The instructions are simple to follow from Whipple after that, just like any hand held programmer.

Have you guys tried getting whipple to disable the auto start at stops?

I have HyPer Lube - like water wetter... it's < $10 and I feel better running it, have had it in all my cars the past 10 years...

I have had the Whipple stage 1 from the beginning. I think the first group buy was Nov 2017. Got the last update just before Christmas. So I was way behind the curve and wish I had asked long ago. Asked being the key here. Had to ask and asked Jeff Tiller if there was anyway of getting on some sort of email list notifing of the latest updates. Hard NO. Same email he tells me, “I was told another Raptor update is coming soon I think the next one is a engine tune update”.
Am I excited? Yes. Do I check back every week? No, but I want to. So let me put this out here to the Whipple Crew, can we put together a way of advising everyone on updates here as soon as they come out? New thread or subject? Even if we could establish one point of contact with Whipple like a dealer supporting vendor that we all love (hint hint) https://www.fordraptorforum.com/members/customtruckshop.5695/ then we wouldn’t over burden Jeff at Whipple with more on his plate, which I think is his concern and we would all get updated in a timely manner without badgering Whipple one at a time.
Maybe then they would have more time for R&D a Stage II perhaps.

We are installing one right now for a customer that has other custom modification to his truck. We let Whipple know of the mods and they emailed us the custom tune for the mods. It's just a simple download. It does take them a day or so to make the tune. The tuner comes with a SD card that you can load the custom tune on and you can use a mac or pc for any of these downloads. It's pretty simple and Whipple is always easy to work with.

No offense, but this is (great, awesome, too good to be true) news to me. This is a CARB compliant package. I was given a hard NO several times directly from Whipple regarding any custom tuning. That said, I know some other things have mysteriously changed since those initial conversations and initial tune revisions.

What are the mods they customized the tune for? Will they tune to ignore a minor CEL?

I guess it’s time for me to get back on the horn to Whipple. Definitely a classic squeaky wheel gets the grease type of situation.

Thanks in advance for any additional intel you can share.

Hey guys , does anyone else have the pedal commander + whipple tune. I just installed the tune and am curious if the 2 together have caused anyone problems?

Did you end up running both ?
