Deaver +3 with lowering shackles work well?

I installed the +3 Deavers and the extended shackle to keep the stock ride height...knowing that if the back end was squatting after adding a chase rack along with all my gear, I could go back to a stock length shackle to raise the rear about an inch.
Just my opinion, but if going with aftermarket springs and such, I'd run an aftermarket shackle...
