Nitto Ridge Grappler vs. BFG Ko2’s

I have had the Trail Grappler on a different truck and definitely like the Ridge Grappler better. My mpg went from 13 to 11.

I look off my stock Ko2's and went to Ridge Grapplers. If they are any louder I don't notice it. They are bit of a stiffer tire so the ride reflects that, but once agin negligible. I do like how they don't fling as many rocks as the KO'2 and I like their traction better.

just installed the NEW Falken Wildpeak AT2. my truck is DD and tow rig.

Im @ 29k miles on the stock K02 and they are almost shot, after 25k they started to become A LOT noisier, and i mean A LOT.
Looking to change to Nitto RG or the Terra Grapplers but they don't look nearly as aggressive

IMO the RG look more aggressive than the KO2s.

Go with the RG, Can't stand the rock throwing KO2's. I have both, RG on my 14 and KO2 on my 18. You won't be disappointed with the RG.

I have Ridge Grapplers. They are pretty quiet, but not KO2 quiet. I only have around 3K miles on mine and they are louder than new, but not much. We drove it on vacation for 10+ hours recently and the tire noise was fine.

The OEM KO2s are load rated C, which is very light for a three ton truck (basically they have a soft sidewall to save weight).

A K02 in the same load rating as your Ridge Grapplers would ride about the same.

Great point about gravel slinging. KOs have been infamous for that for a long time.

Well - I am going with the KO’2 for 2 reasons.

1. Since I am going to 20x10 and -19 I believe they are a little smaller and not a true 35inch tire which will help with clearance.

2. They cost (with the promotion) almost $340 less for the set. So with that in mind I have to go the KO2 route

I did also consider that they were going to be a little less noisy on the High Way. I really wanted to go the Ridge Grappler and unless I have some balancing issues with the wheels tomorrow I will have to wait 25K miles before I am in the same spot again.

I will post pics once the rims and tires are installed.
