Ride after rebuilt shocks and mid perch

So i figured out the problem. The previous owner put on a spacer. So i was ridding mid perch with about a 1-1.5 inch spacer and it killed the ride. Spacer is coming off but it was one that required you to cut the factory studs so just waiting for my new shock mount to arrive. Hopefully all is well after this.

Getting the spacer out should eliminate most of the bump steer you feel. Mid perch by itself introduces a little bump steer in comparison to stock but since you have a spacer it should drive similar to pre shock rebuild.

Well shes still in the shop because I got more great news lol. When the shock hat with the new studs came in and were getting put on, the shock just completely came apart. The piston came out of the shock body for no reason so I am guessing the spacer paired with the messed up shock is why my ride was so bad. I ordered gen 2 shocks I know people say we shouldn't but they were only 200 and people have ran them with no issues so I will report back with how the ride is with gen 2 shocks. I will post pictures when I get off work.

Came apart?! If it was supposed to be a fresh rebuild I'd be calling Forged. I wonder if the 200-240psi of nitrogen was even charged. The cap has real fine threads, did they cross thread them and strip it out completely???

It was freshly rebuilt by us, with 200 psi(QA checks before they leave the shop). Cross threading the cap and getting it to fully seat on the body is a hard feat. Our technicians hand screw the caps on to ensure no cross threading.

There are many reason we offer NO warranty if you continue using spacers or run your shocks at top perch. This is a extreme example of why.

Well I am not blaming anyone but it was not ran a top perch and was only on the truck with the spacer for 3k miles so idk how long it would take for it to do that with a spacer but 3k seems a little short. I am not looking for a warranty claim at all just dont believe 3k is enough to do this much damage and as stated earlier i was not aware of the spacer on the truck. My guess was going to be on the shop that put them on because when did they put it on they managed to tear an axle boot so they obviously weren't careful when putting it in. And no it is not at the same shop.

No need to start a war or cause any drama, Forged is making it right and taking care of me. I will report back how the ride is once the truck is put back together with no spacers.

That's great, no harm intended, and I'm sure it will be way better without the spacers. Good on you Forged (I bought schraders, needles, and shock bolts from you earlier this year when I rebuilt my shocks), crazy how that piston came off, isn't it a big-ass locknut?
