hey guys

Has anyone removed the huge exhaust tips and maybe just did some sort of turn down underneath the truck or something of that sort. Not trying to make the truck louder just thought it might look nice without the tips

Following. The paint On my exhaust tips has peeled away. I’m considering just taking them off.

Yes,
I just did this. I first saw it in person on Mkarban's truck. I was sick of ruining the tail pipes when going offroad.
It's a very simple mod, the exhaust doesn't even need to be cut. You just bolt these on near the rear axle before the spare tire.

I'll take some pics later but it's pretty straight forward. Exhaust sound is slightly more noticeable but i don't see any real negatives to this setup.

Oh boy. Want to keep your pretty GEN 1 exhaust tips from being eroded by junk thrown off the rear tire?
Two words:

Mud Flaps.

Yeah, it sounds like a V8 now.
No change, maybe incrementally louder if anything.
Going to look great with the ADD Pro rear bumper.

Would those still fit with the stock spare under the bed or would you have to remove the spare?
