I feel like people get too worked up over this topic. Sure, if you are tuned and have a relocated intercooler and downpipes and have an engine failure it's a big deal; you're probably on the hook for an engine.
But the things that get warrantied the most, say doors, moonroof, most electronics ect probably are not going to get argued by a dealer if you are tuned. My last truck had a 6 inch lift and my rear yoke seal went out twice and two different dealers replaced it under warranty no issues. Also had a couple random little inside the cab issues taken care of, no issues.
Once again, if you can't afford to replace the part (engine) don't mess with it.

This was exactly my point. Your entire warranty is not voided by tuning your truck.

Yes - I am not sure any will argue with that. However, if you get the cam phasers rattling, or have the misfire, or maybe low oil pressure, Ford will most definitely deny warranty before absorbing blame. It makes sense as Ford didn't design it to run on whatever tune parameters we're changed.

I completely understand the idea that I would have to pay to fix issues once it’s modded and the warranty is out; however my main concern is that raptors on this forum, without any mods, are having engine issues. I’m just trying to get a consensus from forum members on whether these engine issues are going to become a bigger issue. I want to mod but it would be stupid to do it with impending doom ahead.

Thoughts?

It's hard to say, but an overall rule of thumb is you will find more problems with any given vehicle on a forum/group site. It's where people go to find out more about their issues or to complain. I remember my first forum experience back with a Ram pickup I had, I was convinced I bought the wrong vehicle and it was going to fall apart. 5 years later I had experienced zero issues.
Personally, I'm waiting a year or so before I tune just to make sure I get some miles in and see if any issues arise.

I agree. I will tell you that I have had discussions with the service manager at my local dealership and he advised holding off a little while before putting a tune on the truck to make sure that I did not get a bad one. He said he has seen Ford deny a new engine claim due a tune being installed. He also recommended doing an oil change every 3k. I will hold off on installing my tune until about 10k to make sure there are no issues. Not worth fighting with Ford in case something did come up.

I installed a JB4, on my truck. It added noticable HP and Torque and if i need to get warranty work done it takes like 5 minutes to remove and leaves no trace.

I have thought the same thing about giving it some time but I am almost to 30k miles and I haven’t had any major issues. If I were to look and find something I would probably say that my shifts into drive and downshifts are now noticeably harsh. On the engine side of things I haven’t noticed any issues.
