I haven't went through the full 18 pages, but can this setup be purchased?
I've been searching and searching at the options that people have done on this forum.
I'm trying to decide on which route to go for my 2018. I only tow a couple times of year and it's fairly light at that. (bass/pontoon boat or a 4,800lb mini-excavator on a car trailer would be the heaviest). I'm looking at adding air bags to help stiffen the ride when I tow (not over the weight limits), since they are the cheapest route. I've looking into deavers as well, but there is so many options I'm not sure which is the best route to go long term. I don't like the feeling of a bouncing truck for a few hundred feet after hitting a bump in the road with even a light load.

I emailed him about a bolt on and he replied he has to do this in his shop. 22hr drive and spend 2500. Impossible. If he would just sell the brackets I can weld them on and he would make a lot more money cause 95% of the people wont drive that far. Great Idea but totally sucks ass no one can get it that lives a distance.

Long story short, I had airbags as a temporary solution. They work for towing but otherwise, because they aren’t removable (like my setup is) it will REALLY limit your wheel travel and completely defeats the purpose of owning a raptor. It sounds like you wouldn’t have a ton of tongue weight and also wouldn’t use it very often. My suggestion, get the Deaver +3 leaf springs. That should work for you. Otherwise, If you’re close enough to have Izzy do the work and can spring the cost, to me, it’s 100% worth the money.

Yeah, not the simple man. I was there when he did the work on mine and it’s pretty labor intensive. Trust me when I tell you (what he also told you) that It’s not something he can mail and just bolt on. Not by a long shot.
nit sure if he told you, but after he did mine he worked towards putting together a bolt-on application. He gave it a shot but it just wasn’t feasible.

So yeah it sucks but it is what it is.

I stood by and watched for the couple days it took to do the install on my truck. It isn’t just a quick weld. There’s a lot that goes into it. I’m in Indiana, he’s in Cali. :)

Well the guy emailed me about selling the brackets only. Wow is about all I can say about it. I was interested until I saw the price of brackets with shocks and pins included.

“Yes I guess I could do that but keep in mind I’m not responsible for improperly installed components and it does not come with instructions nor do I have the time to walk you through it. if you really feel you can take it on yourself and I will sell you the parts but just know that you will be on your own and there is no refunds. Parts are just C&C cut plates that need to be assembled. Will also include shocks and pins. Where are you located for shipping?”

1600 for all his parts

Two things:

1. If you’re capable enough to weld the brackets on yourself then you should be capable enough to make the brackets yourself. If you’re not, then you pay for someone else’s expertise, no?
I can buy the parts to make a MacBook Pro for probably $300, but guess what? I have no f#%ing idea what I’m doing and therefor have to pay Apple a lot of money to do it for me.

2. Just because you don’t want to drive there and get it done and/or pay for what he’s offering you, doesn’t mean other people won’t. Trust me there are more than a few people that have had this done after I did mine and I haven’t heard of a single one of them being less than THRILLED to have done so, OR that they thought they spent too much.

Lastly, I know for a fact he hasn’t wanted to send out a “kit” as your describing it. You must have been pretty insistent on it if he finally relented and my guess is that the price he gave you was indicative of exactly that.

Yeah, 185 post and your information that it's not cheap and not DIY which was known within the first dozen or so posts, will suddenly kill the thread... Because you're just that special.

Let me just remind you of why it’s well worth the money to me and others that have done this. This first picture shows how my truck would sit/drive if towing stock. Think about what this will do to the shock to be driven, while compressed, for hundreds of miles at a time (saw that guy coming into the highway the other day and snapped a quick pic. Oh and I absolutely guarantee you I have a LOT more tongue weight than this guy. That wasn’t a very big or heavy trailer he was pulling:
