I spent a long time researching this to carry my RTT and very nearly bought the RCI rack. Unfortunately any tonneau will require heavy modification to work with the RCI, someone on the Tacoma forums was able to cut the canvas type roll cover to work but I don't think any measure of modifying a metal roll cover will fit around the legs.

I ended up with the TCUSA American roll cover with side rails and installed a 3 bar Rhino Rack, I run a quite large 72" wide tent. I'm quite pleased with my setup but one of my main goals was to still fit in the garage. Also, I was leaning towards retrax or a pace edwards until I saw them in person...not sure why they're so popular here.

Couple questions did you have to drill holes for the drain tubes ? Any issues with snow or rain freezing the top closed ?
Thanks

Can't help on the rain/snow question (hasn't really rained or snowed since I got the cover and it doesn't freeze here, anyway), but have the same cover. The front drain tubes (as with most other covers) could probably be routed up high through existing holes, but the instructions call for drilling through the plastic punch outs at the bottom of the bed front wall. The rear tubes go through existing holes.

Have a similar setup up with the Pace Edwards but different rack system. Using the Rhino Rack platform and towers. Was used by previous owner for their CVT tent. Ironically I bought the same Rhino Rack Pioneer platform for my previous Sprinter Van for a CVT tent. Not sure about weight capacity for the towers by I know it held the tent, myself and my wife without any groans or issues.

Upside: Great flexibility and quality. Without the tent it’s an awesome platform for mounting accessories, racks, or just a hangout spot. Whatever you mount to include a Tent is behind the cab and not getting wind resistance rolling down the road.

Downside: The height of the platform makes getting things from the front of the bed more cumbersome. I have to remove it to load a dirt bike, etc.. also the rolling cover takes up some room in the front of the bed. The quality of the Pace Edwards is amazing IMO.

Do you know which towers/legs those are? They seem much higher than the ones I’m seeing on their site.
