Hey Guys,

I just installed a 40" light bar behind my grill using the Rigid brackets. It installed perfectly, however the back of the bar is slightly touching the hose off the tranny intercooler. I just checked it again, and it put a very small indentation mark against that hose. Think this is a major issue? I tried to adjust it the best I can, and don't think its putting as much pressure against it now, but it's still touching. The picture below shows a circle where the clearance issue is.

Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks.

Picture showing how its touching?
I have a baja designs 40” kit and it has been fine but do not recall it touching a hose but it is very tight.

I'll snap some pictures tomorrow. Referencing this thread here, seems like I might be able to rotate the clamp to give me some more clearance.

Of course mine is the Baja Designs OnX6 but I just looked and took a picture for you. Never noticed it but it is right up against it and even the trans cooler sits a little on top of the light. I have off-road like this and no issues whatsoever. I would let it ride.

Wow thanks! That's exactly what I needed to see. Mine sits in the same position. Leaning up against it, but not really putting too much pressure. Feel much more comfortable now. Appreciate it.

Maybe put a little tape or something between them as a wear guard... Would hate to spring a leak on the trans cooler.

You could take a dremel to clearance the fins on the light bar just a tiny bit. I think you'll probably be fine though, but the tape idea is good too. Might be a good excuse to install the oversized tranny cooler. It'll move that hose down farther. In fact, I think you might be able to move the stock tranny cooler within those clips, but I don't quite recall.

That's a great idea. Possibly a small piece of rubber or leather might work as well.

I considered the dremel as well, but I think I'll just keep an eye on it. After I adjusted it a bit more, its not putting much pressure on the hose. I didn't know that larger tranny cooler moved the hoses, that was on my list of upgrades to do. Thanks for letting me know. I'll probably go ahead and purchase that soon.

Ugh, I haven’t had any issue but now I gotta look for a piece of rubber, thanks guys!!

There is no way the larger transmission cooler from the F-250 would fit where the lights sits today, I had to raise the stock cooler above the light just to fit the light in there as it is right now.

Never really needed to consider it but the last time I off-roaded the transmission got up to 239 degrees so I am looking at upgrade options now. Would rather have one with a fan if I am going to spend the money.
