My 18 definitely cools. It’s great after a good workout having the cool air blow on my sweaty balls.

Sucks that ford has went backwards in so many areas for 2019 yet the price of the truck is 3-4K more. So far the only improvement appears to be the shocks. Albeit that’s a big one, but so many other areas have taken a step back. I’ve also heard no ambient lighting, and the blue seats are hideous.

What else is a step back? The blue seats are a matter of taste, and while I personally preferred the orange... But I wouldn't consider something as subjective as color a step back.

The shocks, technology, and BL wheels all *seem* to be improvements that warrant a price increase. Maybe not as steep as $5k, but....

It’s not just the color but the material as well. And as I’ve said, no ambient lighting. BL wheels are also a matter of taste so I wouldn’t consider it an improvement. I’m not saying a 2018 is better, but for the price premium it shouldn’t omit these features that existed in the previous two years.

My very late 18 build seems to cool, but if i open the windows, they seem to stop cooling... so maybe they're ventilated? I'll climb under them and figure out their mechanism at some point. They're definitely not quiet at full tilt.

Heck, even the dash vents don't cool well with the windows down. Maybe more of the cooled air (pressure) exiting the truck? They are not quiet on full, for sure. They are a little louder than my '17 Ram, but they do cool much better and almost instantly when turned on. Side note, my biz partner has a '13 King Ranch, his seat cooler fan is much louder than the '18 Raptor.

So I'm curious does yours show the AC on the switch? My 17' would make the seat cool as you describe, but my new one (truck not balls) just doesn't get that cold.

I don't necessarily disagree. But when you break it down it makes a little more sense. (I'm going off memory here, so some of these numbers may not be exact) The $2,000 base increase covers the shocks. The '18 orange interior + CF was $1,800, the blue interior package includes the CF and adds "better" seats, so the extra $600 for seats isn't too unreasonable. The BL wheels are $700 more, but if they reduce weight (this remains to be seen) on the wheels, then the increase could be considered justifiable.

The issues I have with the new pricing are the increases for features that haven't changed. An extra $200 for the moonroof and $100 for the spray-in bed liner? Both exactly the same as '18? **** with that.

The loss of the ambient lighting and "cooled" seats is definitely annoying. Though I'd be interested to see if the ambient lighting could simply be software, and a quick Forscan could address it.

I realize this may be an apples and oranges thing, but my 2018 Raptor has "cooled" seats, my wifes 2018 Lincoln has "ventilated" seats. I can't tell a difference in performance, besides the fact her seats might be a bit quieter. Her ventilated seats definitely blow cold air, just like the Raptor seats, assuming the AC is actually on.
