Just carry a few OEM filters, they are $13. I usually replace the filter every day during dusty runs and just dump the used filter. Easy
I do the same thing and keep a extra filter in the truck just Incase...

I like the idea of just carrying an extra OEM filter...

On my last truck I switched to an oilable filter, and went straight down to watch the Baja 1000....first real WOT run thru a sand wash the truck went into limp home mode...after thinking the last thing I did was the filter, I pulled the MAF and cleaned it with brake cleaner...sure enough that was the issue.

I don’t think you really get anything out of a drop in filter anyhow powerwise without a tune.

don't clean your MAF with brake cleaner

use MAF cleaner or electronics cleaner

brake cleaner can leave a residue as well as being tough on plastics.

It doesn't matter what you use, the 3.5 Raptor doesn't have a MAF sensor...

I know but many do not...the story was more about the fact that oiled filters can mess up MAF sensors for sure...We should have MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensors...
