Really happy for ya!

What you mean by "coating the entire thing"?

I was considering a trip within my 1st week to get a clear vinyl put on as protection, I've been reading about the apparent need of mudflaps on G2 raptors, but since there's not much mud and pretty much zero snow where I drive I'm not as sure that I need them. There's a fair amount of rain here but still semi-arid, and I do not intend to wash my truck more than a few times a year. My thought was maybe to put a 12-20 inch strip of vinyl below the belt-line, more to protect against brush stripes and trail-rash than any acid rain or industrial rust/cancer. My paintjob's biggest threat, to be honest, is sand and small rocks kicked up by traffic on the overcrowded highways that are perpetually under construction, but that is the price we pay to live in a hot/trendy/popular city

Then again, it is a truck, I've got a different ride I take to cars and coffee.

Coating with ceramic coating. I have done it on my last two cars, although this is the first time I am doing myself. The thing it does I like the most is help prevent those light scratches you get over time washing/drying. Also do not need to wax, just the occasional wipe down with detailer.

I am getting PPF on the front (bumper and grill) and 18" back into the hood and down the sides of the front fenders. Also doing the mirrors. I am fairly certain I am also going to color match the panel behind the rear tire. When I do that I will also put PPF on it. As for mud flaps I am not a fan. Going to see how it goes.

When I traded my Ram the salesman said that it was the best black trade in he had ever seen. Result of the coating.

carguyohio,

Didn't you end up taking delivery BEFORE the estimated date shown here?

I'm wondering because my estimated delivery date keeps getting pushed back, and my ship date is still "estimated" which seems to indicate it has not happened yet. Estimated delivery is now almost 2 weeks further out than it was originally when my VIN was issued.

My delivery date kept getting moved up, then as I was waiting for it to get out of "In Production" where it sat for 4 days due to my liner, the est delivery date went to N/A. Est delivery time stayed at 4 days. Then in the end the truck showed up at my dealer late in the afternoon on a Wed, even though tracking said Waiting for shipment. The very next day it was marked as delivered. I simply think my truck took less than 24 hours to deliver and the site only updates once a day.

Bottom line, the estimated time for delivery and estimated delivery dates are educated guesses from C- students. And to be honest it really is not Fords issue. Those are all 3rd party delivery methods with any number of delays are possible. I would expect up to 3 weeks once it has been shipped to reach any far corner of the USA, of course days reducing the closer you get to MI. For TX, which is where I think you were, I would expect 2 weeks. I had a Ram from Mexico once that took almost 3, but that had border issues to deal with.

Once the shipper gets it, there can be any number of things to delay it. Things like volume, equipment, manpower, weather etc. I ordered a 14 Mustang and it was delayed a bit due to Fusion production being added at FRAP and again when the train it was on broke down.

Is there a way to track the shipper? I'd think not but you were able to get details somehow.

Yes lol. You can track rail car at each stop along the way then you can call the rail yard and give VIN to get convoy company info then most companies can track online

How would I go about finding out who the shipper is to even contact them?

Gotta stalk. KC yard has like 3 or 4 convoy companies. I just called first on list and gave my vin and they told me who had it lol
