Also good for tight winding trails. Tight switchbacks like Black Bear Pass.

Black bear pass being in the mountains. Made of rock.

Safe to say no one bought a Raptor to go there.

But yeah I get your point. Short wheel bases are short.

Side note: short wheel base rides like shit.

you have low standards...typical outdated FCA/POS

Maybe, but the interiors are pretty nice. My 14 Grand Cherokee was way nicer than my decked out 14 FX4. Granted I'm talking about higher end models, I can't speak for the entry/mid level models.

The newer Grand Cherokees are pretty nice inside and the same with higher end 2019+ Rams in my opinion.

Where I use routinely use the 4wd there will be little ability to go more than 30-40mph, and that is only in some limited areas without boulders and drop offs. There are some areas I'll just lock it into low/low and let it grind uphill. I know that is technically "rock crawling" but it is only maybe ~10% of 4wd use for me. Tight turns around boulders and trees is probably 75% of my use-case. I took a buddy out there with his H2 and laughed my ass off at the multi-point turns he had to make. I may end up hearing my own laughter later, maybe from width as much as length.

If only my Wrangler could carry enough gear for four people to enjoy a long trip to the country, oh and some freshly killed deer (I use a cage stuck into the rear carrier for that now, which RUINS my ability to cross creeks and gullies), I would probably keep my Jeep. I used to have the Platinum 4X4 SCREW to handle the family (and deer) hauling chores and my Jeep for accessing the more nasty and remote areas, but my wife traded the truck for a CX9 (don't get me started) and I just freaking HAVE to own a truck. The Raptor was about the only vehicle worthy enough to get me to sell my Jeep. But I did choose, understanding the drawbacks, the shorter wheelbase.
