Under the scheduled maintenance there is something about lubricating steering and suspension components. What exactly do they grease? Is it something I can do? Also, I have a little bit of a dull vibration/sound in my steering wheel when I'm driving along and turn the wheel. It's very subtle but seems like the lubing might take care of it.

Talking about Service. Bird, I need a 10k service. What dealer do you recommend?

Nothin really to grease on the front end, the upper/lower ball joints, and tie rod ends are sealed, non grease-able units. The steering lock stops are about the only thing I grease in the front on mine. The hub bearings are also sealed, non service-able.

The growl in the steering wheel maybe the pump or rack vibrating and transmitting back to the steering wheel. Maybe time to service the power steering fluid.

that's a good word. was gonna call it a groan. if the power steering fluid is clear and red does it still need service?

In reality it shouldn't if it still looks and smells clean. How does yours look? I noticed mine looks and smells like shit already at 15,000 miles. I want to flush mine but want to use an actual power steering fluid, not the Mercon V automatic transmission fluid Ford uses/calls for. I'm still researching what I want to use.

You may also make sure the power steering lines aren't resting up against something like the frame or body. I've seen situations were a line will settle on a surface and cause vibrations and feedback to the steering wheel.

No major changes on the shocks from 2010 to 2014 (all Fox 2.5" but some seals were revised). They don't fail at any specific mileage, just depends on how hard you are on them; they will eventually leak fluid and nitrogen charge and there's a "suggested" rebuild schedule somewhere on Fox's webpage but they say somewhere from 10k-50k miles.

Vibration I'll defer to others, but if it FEELS like the driveshaft I'd start with the u-joints...
