I would, but man I really don't trust dealer work haha. Especially for non maintenance items. I'd rather do it myself, the correct way. My tint on the other hand...they can reimburse me for my next tint job (I also prefer not to have it done at the dealership). :)

Another forum member negotiated with Ford and his dealer to get them to transfer his upgrade items from the old truck to his buy-back truck. It might be worth a shot to see if they will do it for you as part of the package.

Sorry for the delay. Yes I got to keep the truck and use it until the new one was on it's way, in transport. I chose not to use it and just park it, I just split time with my wife, son and daughter using their cars. I left the truck in the driveway and stared it periodically. I did remove all my upgrades. Ford customer service advised that I could negotiate to have them transferred. I opted to do it myself because of my OCD. No one will do the job the way I will, so I did it myself!!!!

Glad to hear it. I appreciate you sharing your experience...it puts my mind and worries at ease till I get the full terms back from Ford. I too would like the job done right...so, I'll opt to do it myself. They can just reimburse me for the tinting since its non-removable haha.

The dates you see there are from the 2018 Rap. I took the dates out from the 2017 Rap.
The 2017 was ordered August 2016. Built October 2016. Was to be delivered November 2016. Was delayed by rework and finally delivered February 2017.

@JD06 So I've received my "offer letter" from the 3rd party company which I am to send to Ford. However, the details are so vague in terms of what I am responsible for in terms of cost difference. However it does not outline what/where depreciation starts (ie. mileage of first reported issue), will I get reimbursed for the tinting of the vehicle, or even registration costs. Is that something you worked out with your dealer after the "offer" letter? I'm hesitant to sign anything and get locked into something that isn't to my benefit. I appreciate any info you have.

Your letter didn't come from Ford's RAV department? It's outsourced to Concentrix but the letter will be addressed directly from Ford.
