On the way home from work (4miles) I’m about to backup the driveway and the Raptor suddenly just died. I opened the gate pulled up across the street put it in reverse and dead! ‍♂️ Put it on park and turned the ignition and she started right up no issues no check engine light, nothing. Has anyone experienced this issue with your truck? I have a 2014 crewcab with 24k miles on her. I just ordered the BlueDrive scanner to see if I can diagnose a little better.

2012. I had this happen once in a turn. It just died. I managed to pull to the side and it started right up. It's never happened since. One Gremlin in 6.5 years. I have no explanation.

Thank you guys for the reply. I guess I’ll just wing it and hope it don’t happen frequently. I’ll report back if the scanner comes up with anything unusual.
I also asked a buddy of mine if his 2012 GT500 ever had a similar problem and to my surprise his car has shut down, and restarted once ignition was turned. Must be a ford thing.

Ok after receiving my BlueDriver scan tool i plugged it into my truck and two codes came up that were not setting off the check engine light B1215 & P193C. B1215 is the Running board lamps short to battery. This one I know for a fact I caused it by tapping on the SIM card of the GPS and reset my NAV by mistake. Now for the second code P193C which is Powertrain control module is mind boggling me. I looked it up also and it came up with steering wheel angle or faulty electronic pressure control solenoid ‍♂️

Update: with the above problem I also had a small rough idle while I stopped at lights and stop signs. Checked all hoses for vac leaks and changed intake and pcv valve. Rough idle got fixed. So far no more shut downs. And no more codes on my PCU.

If its the harness that plugs in closet to the engine of the 3 that plug in on the engine bay passenger side, that is the transmission harness. I had mine actually come off and melt on the manifold. Engine never died but transmission / shifting was toast. Kinda sucked when it happened while off-road. PITA to change out

Mine has died once while turning on the street. Oil pressure message and no power steering. Good thing there was no cars in the other lane because I coasted to the other side of the road before starting it back up. I cleaned the MAF as I heard that could of caused it, hasn’t happened since.
