Most of mine were pre-gapped at 0.028, which is where I believe most people leave them. For those that weren’t, I adjusted to 0.028.

Same. Mine were all pre-gapped to 0.028 and I left them as such. The originals I took out at 15,000 miles were still gapped at 0.030 and looked Like normal carbon build up.

I changed mine out due to stuttering/hesitation when under a heavy load at ~80 mph. For example coming up an incline to enter the freeway and gasing it. I’ve had a few times where it would “cut out”, which I suspect was detonation.

Tried same scenario 3 times today in 80+ temps with high humidity and performed without issue after the plug change. Only time will tell.

I have a 2017 with Livernois 93 tune.

No, I don't think moisture is causing this. I feel as if a knock sensor is attempting to retard the timing secondary to pinging or detonation in the engine. If correct I'd expect a colder plug to prevent detonation.

I may be off base, but $42 for 6 plugs and 10 minutes of time I am going to do some trial and error.

I hust wanted to thank the original poster for trying this! My truck has had a hesitation from day one. I finally got around to installing these plugs, made sure all were gaped at .028 and drove it. Big difference. No more hesitation under load and the idle is even smoother. I checked my stock plugs and they were gapped at .032. My truck has 8500 miles. Weird they were gapped that wide but either way truck runs great now. Thanks!

I have the plugs on hand, but haven't installed them yet because my truck doesn't miss a beat, ever. If I have some type of problem that might be ignition, I'll try them then. Otherwise, I'm still a skeptic of "improvements" unless you're actually having a problem. If so, even a new set of stock plugs will likely help. Oh well, some day I'll pull mine...

Does this do anything to the stock truck or only noticeable when tuned?

Personally I didn't notice any difference at all. I have the MPT tune and there didn't suggest a plug change.

I noticed a difference slightly. I also run the mpt tune.

I put mine in at the same time as my MPT tune, so I did not get a chance to see if there was a difference. My truck was not having hesitation issues before all the work and it runs fantastic afterwards. I figured for less than $50, it was worth it to avoid any problems.
