I will be ordering a 2019 and always liked ruby red. This website is probably wrong but says ruby red is a 2019 option. https://www.addictivedesertdesigns.com/news/2019-ford-raptor-color-options
Also curious if the Recaros will be the same firmness and size as the mustang. Finally, I hope consumers will have patience and not give into ADM. Form a relationship with a dealer. I have used our local dealer for 17 years and they always allow us to order close to invoice. Dealers and salespeople will respect you if you are loyal to them.

I noticed that there will be no adjustments to the current stock leaf springs that are on all models. I also noticed they are still running the factory rubber bum stops as well. I have not done my leaf spring upgrade yet but have heard the horror stories of bent frames (yes I know the frame bend is usually due to higher speeds over rougher terrain than the truck was originally built for). I am wondering if the same concern will out there now that the 2019 will have the live adjustable shocks which intend to allow the driver to pass over rough terrain at higher speeds? anyone have any issues they have come across on the 2017 or 2018's with the stock settings?

I think your concern is pretty unfounded. Bent frames have not been an issue on Gen 2’s and even on gen 1s it was largely limited to 2010s from what ive seen and read. Also, the frame didn’t bend by simply riding over rough terrain. Lastly, stiffer shocks isn’t what cause bent frames. It was caused by a full compressed shock, causing the axle to smash into the bump stop with too much energy, bending the frame.

If anything a stiffer shock would have been able to absorbs more energy, which equates to transferring less energy to the bump stop/frame and actually REDUCING the chance of frame damage.

I have no direct impact from the concerns I had, just through discussion with some friends who have Raptors and have seen a bent frame or two. I didn't think it wan an epidemic by any means and am still learning more about the vehicle as I go. I am still intending to put add after market leaf springs since I am in a 2010 but this forum has far more knowledge than I have so before I purchase a newer model I want to do everything possible to use and abuse my 2010. thanks for the good info brother.

The 2013 frame was re-engineered/reinforced to prevent this.
I am unaware of any other frame problems.
Indeed the 2017+ Raptors now have a frame that is greatly reinforced using higher strength steel and is ONLY found on the Raptor.

Oh man I cant even argue that point, I am a Charger fan and we constantly live on the cusp of disappointment. I am glad to here and want to make sure I learn as much as possible from everyone here so I can continue to add the right parts to my truck to give it optimal performance and preserve the body. I have not bottomed out the back yet, hopefully never, but want to make sure that as the newer models come out I know what I will be getting into on my purchase.

There are ride height sensors - leveling will mess with where the ECM thinks the shocks are in their stroke :specialed:

The amount of misunderstanding on how these new shocks works is just sad.

They work primarily off of accelerometers, same as the self-contained bike units. The only reason they get tied to the truck (or RZR dynamix, as the case may be) is so that mode selection will adjust them proactively. IE, if you go to sport mode, it will firm them up pre-emptively same as it does the shifting.

When the pre-2019 Fox Live Valve shocks become available, I doubt they'll have that capability, but it won't matter much because you'll still get all the other benefits.

Might be hard to spot because the video ends pretty abruptly, but if you look carefully, the center of the vehicle actually bends upwards, not downward, as @Ditchplains1 explained.

Wow, that's actually disappointing. The stuff I saw was guys hitting ditches at over 100mph, then complaining about bent frames. Didn't have any sympathy for them, but if it is true the frame bent in that video, I'd be pretty annoyed too.

Please STOP talking about bent frames with the GEN2s. Ford actually went out of there way to make a much stronger frame for the Gen2s and this stronger frame can only be found on the Raptor.
