so i went into firestone to get my alignment since i have a lifetime alignment with them and decided i would have them swap my tires since i was given a set for testing. they quoted $70ish to change them out. now they decided they want to charge me an additional $10 per wheel because of the beadlock beauty ring. now the issue with this is that they didnt tell me this until after they took them off. if i knew before hand, i would have simply gone elswhere. so now im stuck. $40 to take off the rings. this is the firestone in colorado springs at the chapel hills mall. this will be the last time i will come here. for anything. since i have the lifetime alignment i will continue to use firestone, but for that only. i will have to find another firestone to do my alignments. when i had my shop i always notified the customer of issues or additional charges BEFORE i proceeded with the work. they just simply did it and force me to pay for it. discount/americas tire was $20 a wheel, they did mine last time in october and did not charge me for beauty ring removal. i call ******** on this, but since they already removed it and have the new tires on, im just going to pay it, but this store will not see another dime from me. guess some shops are more worried about getting every penny they can on a sale than to retain a customer. now i questioned this and they said it was a management call so im not one to argue or badmouth another company, but not notifying me of additional charges beforehand is just stupid

I had a similar experience at a local tire shop. I told them it shouldn't cost me a dime to put it back like it was so I can go somewhere else. Screw that. It's bad business!

it just sucks that they didnt tell me before hand. they didnt even bother telling me until after the tires were already mounted on the rims.

Your lucky it was only 40. Locally wanted to add on 175 to add on caster camber bolts that cost max 50 dollars (20 if you use el cheapo). They already had them ordered and delivered from the local parts store without my knowledge. I showed up at the agreed time and told them to put it back together so I can hit the road.

well im still here waiting. i have a lifetime alignment with firestone so i guess i will have to find another firestone to go to. once this is done, i will not be back here. i will update as soon as i pay my bill. im not going to argue with it. its useless. im just going to pay and never return. my lunch costs $40 so the money is not an issue. discount tires did my tires bafk in october. it was $20 a tire and no hidden fees. guess i will go back to them. at least when they ****** up my ring bolts, they replaced them and gave me a spare. i would rather go to a company that ***** up, admits it, and fixes it rather than come here again to find hidden fees
